What is embroidery?

Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric with needle and thread. Stitches are layered to draw lines, build textures, and form motifs—monograms, florals, borders, or full illustrations. Thread type, stitch choice, and fabric weave all shape the feel of the final piece.

A brief history
